Tą paczkę newsów ze sceny niezależnej rozpoczynamy od informacji, która w ostatnich dniach zszokowała wszystkich fanów indys. Oficjalnie można ogłosić, że legendarne, Filadelfijskie ECW Arena (obecnie znane jako The Arena) wraz z lutym 2012 roku przestaje być areną dla gal pro-wrestlingowych! Brzmi jak niesmaczny żart, jednak jest to informacja w 100% potwierdzona, którą ogłosiły już praktycznie wszystkie serwisy, nawet te nie związane bezpośrednio ze sceną niezależną. Ostatni właściciel The Arena – Roger Artigiani kilka tygodni temu sprzedał halę na rzecz Joanny Pang, która tym samym stała się główną osobą zarządzającą obiektem. Pang ma pomysł aby halę rozbudować i jej głównym przeznaczeniem mają być organizowane sukcesywnie koncerty, jako główne źródło dochodu.

January 14th Could be the FINAL Professional Wrestling Event in the Asylum Arena
Over the past few days, the wrestling world has been wondering just what exactly the future of wrestling at the Asylum Arena is going to be. It’s no secret that as of next year, new management will be operating the Arena. Coming off of a highly successful double header this past weekend, this is extremely difficult news – Saturday, January 14th 2012 may be the FINAL appearance of Combat Zone Wrestling and professional wrestling as a whole in the Arena.
For the past 10 years, this legendary building has been our home. CZW has proudly continued the legacy of an alternative wrestling product started in 1993. We picked up where they left off with Cage of Death III and have been going balls to the wall ever since.
If Saturday, January 14 is CZW’s last Arena event, let’s give that building the send off it rightfully deserves on behalf of everyone in wrestling – every locker room, every fan. And imagine what CZW will do to say goodbye.
Now what does this mean for CZW? CZW WILL go on. The doubleheader with Evolve WILL in fact go on as planned. CZW will begin at 2:30PM; Evolve at 7:30PM. The show on Saturday, February 4th in Indianapolis WILL go on as scheduled. Planning for a future outside of the Arena after January has already begun.
Change, at times, is an unwanted necessity and can be sad/painful. If this is to be the Arena’s final curtain call…the martini shot…the swan song, the Arena will go out with an even BIGGER bang than the one heard this past weekend and with CZW’s heads held high as we move into the future.
Most importantly, the CZW family wants YOU, the CZW fans…our extended family, to be in our home one more time for it. If you have never attended a wrestling show in the hallowed halls of the Asylum Arena, January 14th very well could be your final chance. Tickets will be going on sale shortly. Hala wcześniej znana jako ECW Arena była mekką hardcoru w USA, gdyż gale w niej na codzień organizowało legendarne Extreme Championship Wrestling. Od grudnia 2001 roku było domem Combat Zone Wrestling. W hali tej swoje gale organizowało multum federacji niezależnych, na czele z Ring of Honor, TNA, Dragon Gate USA czy Chikara Pro. Ponadto obiekt był miejscem gdzie organizowano gale bokserskie, MMA czy nawet bingo dla miejscowej ludności etc. Ostatnie dwie gale w tej historycznej hali odbędą się w styczniu. Zorganizują je CZW oraz otwarte na nowo EVOLVE.

Ostatnio informowaliśmy Was o zamknięciu EVOLVE i przejęciu przez Dragon Gate USA. Jak się tymczasem okazuje, federacja jednak nie przejdzie już tylko w sferę wspomnień, bowiem będzie nadal działała ale już oficjalne pod banderą Dragon Gate USA. Warto wspomnieć, że w momencie kiedy wpisujemy adres strony internetowej zostajemy przekierowani na witrynę DG USA, gdzie stworzone specjalny dział „About EVOLVE”. Na razie jednak strona jest w budowie. Start „Nowego EVOLVE” nastąpi 14 stycznia (w ten sam dzień swoją galę będzie miało CZW) w zamykającym się dla pro-wrestlingu, Filadelfijskim The Arena.
Udało nam się dowiedzieć, że podczas rocznicowego, bo 10-tego EVOLVE wystąpią: Johnny Gargano, Chuck Taylor, Ricochet, Sami Callihan, Bobby Fish, Uhaa Nation, Jigsaw i inni.

Combat Zone Wrestling tak jak zostało wspomniane na początku tego newsa, swoją pierwszą w 2012 roku i zarazem ostatnią w The Arena galę, organizuje 14 stycznia. Na razie znamy raptem 2 walki na ten event, ogłoszone na „Cage of Death XIII. Są nimi starcia Ryan McBride vs. Derek Frazier oraz Matt Tremont vs. Drew Gulak.
4 lutego w przeddzień święta wszystkich amerykanów, czyli „Superbowl XLVI”, federacja powraca do Indianapolis, IN (swoją drogą, na dzień przed i do miejsca gdzie odbędzie się finał ligi NFL) ze swoim eventem „Super Saturday Indianapolis”. Walką wieczoru na tej gali ma być pojedynek Tommy Dreamer vs. Sami Callihan. Dla „Innovatora of Violence” będzie to powrót do CZW po 11 latach…
11 lutego CZW organizuje galę z okazji 13-lecia istnienia. Nie znamy miejsca gali, bowiem to po problemach z The Arena zostaje ustalane, aczkolwiek możemy być pewni, że na tej gali świeżo upieczony, pierwszy pretendent do CZW World Heavyweight Title z „Cage of Death XIII” – Drew Gulak, będzie walczył właśnie o ten tytuł z obecnym mistrzem…
